From my reading and studying as a physician I have found Three easy things to do that are way more effective than ever using the alternative. Let me get right to the point (no pun intended):
1. Increase your vitamin intake.
Many diseases, especially flu’s and colds are easily traced back to lack of nutrition in the diet. Your body is so amazing that you can literally create a new eye ball with just a fried up potato, but honestly I think we know how well that eye ball would work; not as good as if you had build one out of good nutrients in your diet. If you are going to use supplements make sure that they work! There are many supplements out there that are just as good as rocks or worse; I have even seen loads that work good in the lab but horrible in the gut. It can be hard to find a good non-rock supplement. Studies continuously are showing that we do not take enough vitamins; even FDA recommended doses may not be enough or right, work closely with your nutritional physician to know what is best.
You don’t have to use supplements to get good nutrition though. Green shakes and proper diets can be great benefit. The one vitamin I suggest you strongly look at though is Vitamin C. Vitamin C is natures little scrub brush and has been linked to help a variety of illnesses and diseases. Cheaper brands are everywhere are most are cultivated from hybrid or GMO corn (not my favorite source). There are more potent and effective Vit C’s out there but you have to look for them. I am a 180 lbs adult who uses about 4500 mg of vitamin C, less if I am using a potent brand; if I get diarrhea then good, that is me getting rid of crud. I just know that if diarrhea persists to back down my Vitamin C intake by 500 each day until the diarrhea stops. Everyone is a little different so again work with your nutritional physician to get the doses right.
2. Drink more water
Human beings are supposed to be 70% water but I wonder if with all the new beverage choices we are even 50% in some cases. From the studies that I have read the new number for water is your weight in pounds divided in half and that number is the minimum amount of ounces you need to drink each day! “But that will make me pee lots!” Of course it will, you bladder is used to a 50% hydrated person and has shrunk to accommodate that, so drink up and be near a bathroom for a few months and your bladder will eventually expand, just like my stomach did when I started eating more and exercising less.
There are different types of water all around you. The tap water you drink these days may not be so great for you. Fluoride itself, added to many water sources, is a known carcinogen even in microscopic amounts. Did you know that Fluoride isusually sourced from toxic waste plants; yep, they just pipe that stuff straight from the toxic waste plant/ dumps right into our water.
Alkaline water is something that has received some attention lately; it seems that many diseases and even cancers have difficulty even establishing a foothold when an alkaline system is achieved.
Micro-clustering has also been in the news lately along with nutrient restoring and many other water techniques that can help you use your water to its up-most potential.
Look around for a good water source, it is too easy to stay hydrated these days, but it is also easy to get tricked into water that is labelled safe but a poor choice in the long run.
3. Get your Nervous system checked
The way your brain talks to the rest of your body is through the brain stem, spinal cord and other nerves in the body. The integrity of the nervous system is vital and any interruption of the connection between brain and body can and does decrease your ability to not only heal but counteract illness with an in tune immune system. Pero in 1989 showed that immune function has improved with proper chiropractic care by up to 400%. I do not know of any other procedure or health industry that can taut that kind of numbers of improving function of the nervous system. In 2012 the FDA stated that on average per year there are about 255,000 deaths caused by medical intervention of some sort, in hospital; it is estimated by some experts that the real death toll (in or outside of hospital) is closer to 3 million. Compared that to the death toll average of chiropractic per year of 1/3 people (yeah, not even a whole person). The numbers here just don’t lie. Scared of neck adjusting? Just find an Upper Cervical Chiropractor, which increases the safety factor by a lot.
So, Sick and tired of being sick and tired? You can’t rely on others to look out for your and your families best interests. Take some responsibility and recruit a good Upper Cervical Chiropractor to help you heal they way creation intended you to.
With those things in mind you should be able to beat the flu and cold seasons better than you have before. Remember, when it comes to your health consistency far out trumps intensity!
